January 27, 2008

Fan-filmed video footage of Swedish metallers AMON AMARTH performing the song "Fate of Norns" live at the Medley in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on December 5, 2007 can be viewed below. The track was dedicated to the memory of DECAPITATED drummer Witold "Vitek" Kieltyka, who died on November 2 in a Russian hospital from injuries sustained in a road collision. He was 23 years old.

AMON AMARTH is scheduled to enter Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden in May with producer Jens Bogren to begin recording its new album for a late 2008 release via Metal Blade Records.

As previously reported, AMON AMARTH has confirmed its participation in the Sweden Rock Cruise. The 24-hour cruise, which departs from Stockholm on March 27, is organized to celebrate of the 50th issue of Sweden Rock magazine and also serves as a warm-up for the Sweden Rock Festival in June. On board there will be three metal bars/night clubs with metal DJs, a record fair, metal karaoke, a pool/sauna area, casino, tax-free shopping, restaurants and more.
